The name means "the place where two rivers merge to form a wide one". We are talking about the two seasonal rivers Okamita and Okakango. Known as the "Garden City of Namibia", Okahandja offers a rich cultural heritage, numerous historical sites and excellent birding opportunities in the surrounding areas.
