Man Eaters Camp, a luxury tented camp on the banks of the Tsavo River in the heart of Tsavo National Park. Just 1 km from the main Nairobi-Mombasa road, Man Eaters Camp is an ideal stopover for travelers along the route, with accessibility to both Tsavo East [10 km] and Tsavo West [2 km], one can enjoy both parks on the way to Nairobi or Mombasa. The camp consists of 30 luxury en-suite tents with private balconies overlooking the Tsavo River. On the other side of the river bank, you can watch the game coming to the river to quench their thirst from the dry heat that Tsavo Park is so famous for. Man Eaters Camp is located one kilometer from Tsavo Station and Tsavo Bridge, which became famous in Kenya's colonial history for the Man Eaters of Tsavo. In this case specifically the story of two men hunting man-eating lions that terrorized the locals and Indian railroad workers during the construction of the Kenya-Uganda Railway, killing up to 135 workers and inspiring many films such as Bwana Devil and The Ghost and Darkness.
