In this city of around 155,000 inhabitants, the historic center "Old Moshi" is particularly worth seeing. Other attractions include the city's colorful markets and the nearby coffee plantations. Kilimanjaro International Airport is located to the west of Moshi.
Another little tip: visit the coffee farmers. There you can follow the individual production steps from the harvest to the finished packaged coffee powder. Visitors can also make their own coffee, roast it over the fire and grind the beans in an oversized mortar. The workers on site explain the correct technique and one thing is certain: making coffee in the traditional way looks easier than it is. But the work is worth it. In the end, everyone enjoys the fresh coffee together with freshly harvested avocados, oranges and papaya. Moshi also stands for first-class coffee.
