On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a warm welcome from the tour guide and transfer to Arusha, the starting point for many safaris.

Arusha is a typically small but lively African town south of the Sahara and that is part of its charm. Situated at the foot of Mount Meru, the Maasai settled here in the 1830s and the town was conquered by the Germans in the early 20th century, who built the fort (boma) that still stands today. This colorful past complements the mixture of architecture and culture that can still be found here.

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for game drives and game viewing.

Make a stop at Tarangire Safari Lodge and continue to the afternoon game drive. The giant baobab trees will amaze you, Tarangire is one of Africa's little-known treasures and a must-see on any northern itinerary. Home to a variety of wildlife as diverse as its landscape, Tarangire is also the park that is home to Tanzania's largest African elephant population. With four of the Big Five also within the park.

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch. Game drives on the way to your camp.

The meaning of Serengeti comes from the Maasai word "Siring" which means "endless expanse".

It is one of the most important African safari areas and an extension of Kenya's Maasai Mara National Park. All three big cats are easy to spot. Lions are everywhere, cheetahs are very common, while leopards are often seen lounging in one of the large trees along the Seronera River.

The park is famous for its annual wildebeest migration, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, when some six million hooves cross the open plains as more than 1,000,000 wildebeest, 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle accompany the trek in search of fresh greenery. This is one of the most impressive wildlife events in the world.

The next day:

Enjoy the day in the wilderness and experience the Serengeti in all its beauty.

The first safari begins early in the morning for a photo hunt, interrupted by lunch at the lodge.

Another opportunity to explore the wildlife in the afternoon.

After breakfast departure towards Karatu via Ngorongoro. Lunch in Karatu. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure.

The famous crater covers over 300 square kilometers of land and is home to the rare black rhino, pride of the lion, elephant, cheetah and large herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. On the way you will visit the Oldupai Gorge of Louis and Mary Leakey's famous archaeological discoveries. Their discoveries go back to the roots of mankind.

Overnight stay at the Bougainvillea Lodge or similar.

The next day:

After breakfast, departure with picnic lunch and descent to the crater floor for game viewing.

Discover the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area with water birds and many flamingos and the open savannah, home to hunting lions. The sparse vegetation here offers the best photo opportunities. Picnic lunch is served in the crater. An exciting day awaits you!

Return to your lodge in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for lunch. Later transfer to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar.

On arrival, you will be greeted warmly and taken to your beach hotel where you can enjoy three days of sea, sun and sand. For most visitors, Zanzibar Town means Stone Town, the historic quarter where you can wander for hours through a maze of narrow streets and easily lose yourself in centuries of history. Every turn brings something new - a former palace, a Persian bathhouse, a dilapidated ruin, a coral stone house with carved wooden doors and lattice balconies.

Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel Hakuna Majiwe for 3 nights (half board). Located directly on the most beautiful beach and ideal for swimming fun without shoes.
