The safari starts in Arusha. After lunch, you drive to Lake Manyara, a soda lake situated in the Rift Valley. Lake Manyara - a jewel of Africa - is nestled in a breathtaking landscape. Surrounded by a narrow green belt of forest and overlooked by the majestic cliffs of the Rift Valley, it is only understandable that Ernest Hemingway considered this graceful place to be the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in Africa. A first exciting game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home to tree-climbing lions. Apart from the varied landscapes such as jungle, swamp and savannah, there is also a large selection of animals such as giraffe, zebra, elephant, gazelle, hippos, monkeys and around 400 different bird species.

Dinner and overnight at Migunga Tented Camp or similar.

After breakfast departure with your packed lunch to Serengeti Fort Ikoma, game drives in Serengeti National Park while you are on the road. This huge park is home to every variety of animal, pure Africa: from large predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs to the smaller herbivores that constantly fear for their lives.

Tanzania's oldest and best-known national park is famous for its annual natural spectacle, the animal migration. 6 million wildebeest hooves set off and more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson's gazelles join the migration. But this natural wonder of the world also has impressive things to offer outside of the migration: large herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, several thousand antelopes, impalas and Grant's gazelles.

The next day:

Today you spend the whole day on safari in this impressive national park, the kingdom of animals. A picnic lunch will be prepared for you to ensure you get the best of a full day and you will spend the whole day in the Serengeti National Park in search of the Big 5.

Rich breakfast. You then drive to your lodge in Karatu, just outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The famous crater covers over 300 square kilometers of land and is home to the rare black rhino, pride of the lion, elephant, cheetah and large herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. On the way you will visit the Oldupai Gorge of Louis and Mary Leakey's famous archaeological discoveries. Their discoveries go back to the roots of mankind. You arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. The afternoon is at leisure.

The next day:

Today you visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend over 600 meters to the bottom of the crater for a full day of up-close wildlife experiences. Discover the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area with water birds and many flamingos and the open savannah, home to hunting lions. The sparse vegetation here offers the best photo opportunities. Picnic lunch is served in the crater.

In the late afternoon, drive back to Bougainvillea Safari Lodge for dinner.
