The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is located on the eastern edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, about 170 km from Arusha. The impressive Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a diameter of 15 kilometers, is undoubtedly one of the scenic highlights of any trip to Tanzania. The crater floor, which is 615 meters deep, is home to a biodiversity of the African savannah that is unique even for Africa. Buffalos, zebras, monkeys and gazelles live here, as do leopards and the endangered black rhinos. A fascinating animal world in a confined space!
The Sopa Lodge, consisting of a main house and the round lodges, offers a reception and a lounge and a bar, each with an open fireplace, a restaurant with panoramic windows and breathtaking views of the crater, as well as a souvenir store and a swimming pool. The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge enchants in the style of African round huts.
Each of the suites offers two queen-size beds, a lounge, air conditioning, minibar, mosquito net, a bathroom with hairdryer and a veranda with a view of the crater.
