Situated 180 km north of Francistown, this small village is a popular destination on the way to or from Maun and Kasane (both ~ 300 km away). The white sand, high termite mounds and Mokolwane palms are a feature of the area around this village. Due to the number of tourists passing through Nata, there are now three petrol stations on the outskirts of Nata. Nata is the best place to explore the eastern section of the Makgadikgadi Pans. The Nata Sanctuary is only 10 km away and at the right time of the year you will be rewarded with large flocks of flamingos and pelicans that breed here every year.
