Day 1:

After arriving at Maun International Airport, you will board a charter flight in a small aircraft to the Okavango Delta. You will spend the next 2 days unaccompanied - the lodge staff and the local rangers will look after you with great care and attention.

The Okavango Delta is considered one of nature's masterpieces and offers a glimpse into one of Africa's truly great wildernesses. The Okavango Delta, which is protected by the Moremi Game Reserve and numerous private game concessions, is home to numerous elephants, buffalo, lions, hippos, giraffes and zebras.

Day 2:

Spend a full day relaxing and enjoying this beautiful oasis that is a haven for Africa's most famous wildlife. Alternatively, enjoy optional activities such as mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions, bush walks and boat cruises (for a fee).

Day 3:

After breakfast, you fly back to Maun. Here you will meet your tour guide and drive together to the endless white salt pans of Botswana. The shimmering salt pans of Makgadikgadi, together with the Nxai pans, are believed to be the largest in the world. The pans are the remains of a once ancient lake that is now part of the largest remaining migration in southern Africa. During the rainy season, the pans are one of the most important wetlands in Botswana, home to waterfowl and large herds of game.

Day 4:

Explore the Ntwetwe Pan with a local guide who will explain the incredible adaptations of species unique to the Kalahari Desert. Explore the area in search of bat-eared foxes, ground squirrels and other unique desert species and learn about their incredible struggle against the elements in Africa's harshest wilderness. Watch a band of resident meerkats up close (weather permitting). Marvel at how these incredibly social, well-adapted animals interact with each other and their environment.

Day 5:

After a breathtaking experience in the Makgadikgadi, it is time to drive on to Chobe. Travel through the small village of Nata. This area is known for its cattle farming and about 75% of the inhabitants are from the Basarwa tribe, also known as Bushmen or San. Not far from the village is the Nata Bird Sanctuary - a community project with 165 bird species that are native to the area. We continue along a route known as the "Game Drive Route", as there is always the possibility of seeing wildlife along the way.

Day 6:

Enjoy an exciting 4x4 drive in Chobe National Park, the second largest in Botswana, known for excellent game viewing all year round as it has one of the largest populations of game on the African continent. In the evening, a breathtaking sunset boat cruise awaits you in search of great game sightings.
