Day 1:

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will meet an Africa220 representative who will accompany you to the Europcar counter and discuss your itinerary with you. Pick up your rental car and drive to your hotel.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure - your children can sleep or play and you can relax.

Take a stroll through the famous V&A Waterfront this evening.

Day 2:

Discover the Mother City today. The iconic Table Mountain, the Castle of Good Hope, the lively Greenmarket Square arts and crafts market, the green oasis in the middle of the city, the Company Gardens and Camps Bay for sun, sea and sand should be on your agenda.

Day 3:

Discover the Cape Peninsula today. Along the posh suburbs of the Atlantic Seaboard, Hout Bay and the absolutely unique Chapman's Peak coastal road, you will reach the Cape of Good Hope. On the way back to the city, visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach and stop for a wine tasting in Groot Constantia.

Day 4:

After a leisurely breakfast, check out and drive towards the Cape Winelands. Franschhoek and Paarl are on the program today. White-washed farmsteads surrounded by oak trees, green hills covered in wild flowers, fertile valleys alive with the sounds of rushing streams, restaurants with French names and Dutch flavors ... this is the Winelands, home to some of the best wines in the world.

Visit the Taal Monuments in Paarl, take part in a winery tour with wine tasting and enjoy a picnic lunch under shady trees at Allee Bleue Wine Estate.

Day 5:

Today you will discover Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. The historic town center invites you to stroll under the oak trees and the Stellenbosch Museum gives you an impression of its history.

Highlights include visits to the cheetah project, the butterfly world and the eagle breeding station. Fun for the whole family.

Day 6:

You drive through blooming landscapes to Albertinia. On the way to the private game reserve, you will stop at the Aloe Ferox Farm.

This afternoon is the first opportunity to observe wild animals during a game drive in an open off-road vehicle.

Day 7:

Two game drives bring you closer to the Big Five - lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo and rhino.

Day 8:

After a final game drive, you will travel over steep mountain passes into the Little Karoo semi-desert to Oudsthoorn, the spring capital of South Africa.

Stop for lunch at the Safari Ostrich Farm, where you can also take part in a guided tour of the farm. Here you also have the opportunity to sit on an ostrich and watch a short ostrich race.

Day 9:

After a good breakfast, we recommend that you visit the world-famous Cango Caves for a guided 1-hour tour and the Cango Wildlife Ranch, where you can get up close to the big cats.

Day 10:

Scenic drive over the Outeniqua Pass towards Knysna.

On the way, visit the Diaz Museum complex with the Old Post Office Tree and a replica of the sailing ship with which Bartolomeu Diaz landed in Mossel Bay. The Cafe Gannet on the museum grounds is a good place for lunch.

This evening, stroll through the Knysna Waterfront with its many stores and restaurants and take part in a sundowner cruise on the lagoon on board the John Benn.

Day 11:

Visit the Knysna Elephant Park today, where you can interact with the giants of Africa.
