Today you drive along the eastern foothills of the Garden Route to Plettenberg Bay. Laze on the beach, stroll through Plettenberg or, even better, visit Monkeyland and Birds of Eden.
Leave the coast and drive inland over spectacular mountain passes towards the Little Karoo semi-desert. Your destination today is the spring capital of South Africa, Oudtshoorn. This jewel of the Klein Karoo is located on the beautiful Route 62 and a stop at the Safari Ostrich Farm is a must. The Cango Caves, a huge stalactite cave landscape, are also well worth a visit.
After a leisurely breakfast, drive along the very scenic Route 62 to Hermanus.
Hermanus is a coastal town southeast of Cape Town, in South Africa's Western Cape province. It is known as the best place in the world to watch whales from land. Hermanus is also worth a visit outside the whale season from June to November. There is always something going on in the harbor, the fresh sea air invites you to go for walks, the wine farms in the nearby Hemel & Aarde Valley produce excellent wines and there is a variety of first-class restaurants.
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and drive towards the Cape Winelands to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, surrounded by vineyards and spectacular mountain ranges. The most interesting towns and villages are Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl.
Spend the next two days exploring this historic and spectacularly scenic region.

Day 14:
Travel on to Cape Town today, the Mother City and oldest city in South Africa.
Why not visit the famous V&A Waterfront with its many good restaurants and interesting stores today?
Day 15:
After breakfast at the hotel, drive up Table Mountain to get an overview of the city. Visit the Castle of Good Hope, the lively Greenmarket Square arts and crafts market and the green lung of the city - Company Gardens
In contrast to other major cities in Africa, the city center of Cape Town is relatively safe, so you should not miss out on a stroll from the museum district to the colorful Bo-Kaap quarter, home to the Malay population.
Tonight, you might want to learn about the history of the city's Colored population at an entertaining musical revue and dinner at Richard's Supper Stage.
Day 16:
Discover the Cape Peninsula today. Along the posh suburbs of the Atlantic Seaboard, Hout Bay and the absolutely unique Chapman's Peak coastal road, you will reach the Cape of Good Hope. On the way back to the city, visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach and Simonstown, home of the South African navy.
Day 17:
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day shopping or visit more sights in the Mother City. The famous Seal Island is well worth a visit.
Robben Island, the unique symbol of the "triumph of the human spirit over adversity, suffering and injustice" with a rich 500 year old multi-layered history, is accompanied each year by thousands of people eager to understand the important aspects of South and honor Africa's history that the island represents.
The Bisquit Mill is a converted cookie factory that is now home to a number of unusual artisan stores.
The Gold Restaurant offers a good insight into African cuisine, accompanied by African sounds. Be sure to book the drumming workshop, which takes place before the actual dinner.
Day 18:
A visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is recommended. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens is world-famous for the beauty and diversity of Cape Flora and its location on the eastern slope of Table Mountain.
A scenic drive takes you to Groot Constantia - enjoy the wonderful wines, visit the manor house and indulge in an excellent meal.
Today it's time to say goodbye. You drive to Cape Town Airport, drop off your rental car and check in for your flight home.
