The Croix du Sud has recently been renovated. The reception welcomes you with a new trendy look in red and orange tones. A simple continental breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant, while other meals are taken in the neighboring Hotel Le Dauphin. A delicious three-course dinner is served in the evening with a choice of two or three starters, main courses and dessert. The guest rooms are tiled and cool, while air conditioning provides the much-needed freshness! A TV with local channels, a minibar and a spacious bathroom with shower and bathtub ensure comfort!

Day 3:

After breakfast, drive westwards to Berenty. Stop along the way to see exotic plants such as didieracea, typical plants of the thorn forest, endemic palms and baobabs.

Leave the tropical wetland and drive past Andohaela National Park, the transitional area leading to the dryland. Andohaela National Park stretches across rainforest and thorny forest where triangulated palms are found, which are endemic and unique to this area.

Drive through the dry area of the Androy region, dominated by thorny forests and sisal plantations.

Day 4:

Full day visit to the private Berenty Reserve. Experience the dry deciduous forest along the Mandrare River and the spiny forest with its famous Didieracea trees. Different species of lemurs are observed during a walk: the lemur catta, the brown lemurs and the dancing lemurs or the white sifaka as well as numerous endemic birds such as the coua and the drongo.

Return to your hotel in the afternoon.

After dinner, possibility to arrange a night visit to the reserve.

After a leisurely breakfast, visit the forest and the Arambelo Museum before driving back to Fort Dauphin.

In the morning, visit the Saidi Botanical Garden, which houses most of the plants from a tropical forest, including palms, elephant ears, orchids, tree ferns and bamboos. It also has a small crocodile farm and the ring-tailed lemur that lives within the garden.

In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and flight to Antananarivo. Transfer to your hotel in the city.

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a city tour (depending on departure schedule). Departure from the hotel to discover the city. Drive to the city center where there are banks, government buildings, the presidential palace of Ambohitsirohitra, stores and jewelers, then to the modern city or the administrative district around Anosy Lake with a stop at the flower market. Continue the tour through Independence Avenue and drive to the upper part of the city or the old town on the hill of Analamanga at an altitude of 1,463 meters. This is the area of the old bourgeoisie of the capital. Magnificent panoramic view of the city.

Day room in the hotel is available for you until the transfer to the airport for your onward flight home.
