Interview with the Masai & a hidden pearl on the beach

Interview with the Masai & a hidden pearl on the beach

AFRICA SAFARI

Moments with the Masai

Every Day is different here

WHAT A MASAI CHIEF HAS TO REPORT

It's simply amazing to listen to a Masai chief talk about how he thinks about dealing with nature and its challenges. It happens that they defend their livestock to protect their wealth, the opponent is not a human, no, it is a lion. Dealing with a situation we would never dare is fearless and disconcerting. William, the Masai chief, knows what he is talking about - the clear bite scars of a lion on his forearm speak for themselves. He has defended his cattle four times, always at night and always in a team with his tribal warriors.

The way he calmly talks about these situations impresses me, it's about commitment, courage and strength, even when the opponent seems much stronger. 3 hours around an open campfire and under an African starry sky, authentic stories and real adventures, that's always fascinating.

Then it's off to the tropical Kenyan coast - a little gem awaits me here, discreet, private and the perfect place to unwind, pure relaxation. Fresh seafood and Italian specialties are served daily, and great importance is attached to healthy eating here.

By the coast, I stay in a wonderful villa, well-kept and well-managed house, equipped with comfortable beds, tasteful African decoration, every corner furnished with love. Plus an infinity pool, sea view and almost 30 degrees, it doesn't get much better than that. And best of all, there were only 6 guests (more than 12 wouldn't fit here anyway) what a treat!
